The Lahore-Dehli (Sade-E-Sarhad) and Dehli-Lahore buses passed via Nakodar-Nurmahal-Phillaur on second day on Thursday and passed through Nurmahal around noon.
Both buses ran with escort and pilot vans. SHO city, Subash Bath, said he himself escorted Sada-E- Sarhad in Nakodar city jurisdiction on Thursday.
Nurmahal SHO, Vijaykanwarpal, escorted these in Nurmahal police station jurisdiction. These buses cross each other at Phagwara. Sources said the step was taken following high tension at Jalandhar, Phagwara after five soldiers were killed in Pakistan ambush.
SP (O) Gurmit Singh said this step is being taken due to law and order situation.
