Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia stated that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is not against the BSF or any other security agency but against those involved in the smuggling and sale of drugs in the state.
He made it clear that the demonstration on January 5 at Attari is going to be peaceful, aimed against all those people who by their misdemeanors are encouraging drug addiction and harming the state and the nation.
The minister expressed these view to the media after the inauguration of the office of the Market Committee at Majitha, near here on Friday. The new office was constructed at a cost of Rs.1 crore.
On the occasion, he alss felicitated the newly appointed chairman of the Market Committee, Balbir Singh Chandi and the vice chairman Durga Das.
