Denied more property share, man fires at 92-yr-old father in Ludhiana
The victim had a narrow escape after the bullet missed the target, but he suffered serious injuries in the physical assault on him.
A 92-year-old man was allegedly shot at and beaten up by his two sons and two grandsons over a property dispute at Urban Estate in Ludhiana on Saturday.

Narayan told the police he had two sons Amandeep Singh and Harjit Singh. Harjit lived separately with his wife and two sons Harsimran Singh and Harkawal Singh. The family is into the business of textile mills.
Narayan said he had given a share of his property to Amandeep around 11 years ago. Recently, Amandeep began harassing and threatening him, claiming his right to the entire estate.
“When I turned him down, Amandeep called in Harjit and his sons, and assaulted me, before opening fire at me. When I raised the alarm, all of them fled my house,” he alleged.
Other family members rushed him to Christian Medical College and Hospital , where he gave his statement to the police. ASI Baldev Raj of Moti Nagar police said they had booked the accused for attempt to murder and voluntarily causing hurt, and under various sections of the Arms Act.
