On a project inauguration spree in the district on Saturday, SAD MP and party candidate for parliamentary elections from Bathinda constituency Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that development will be the main poll plank of the party.
Harsimrat inaugurated a newly constructed 50-bed maternity hospital on Saturday and claimed that all-round development will be prove to be the party’s forte.
On the Bathinda airport, she said that the work had been completed, but union civil aviation ministry was yet to grant permission to start flights from it. “After the formation of the NDA government in next three months, we will inaugurate the airport,” she added. The MP also launched 27 development projects worth more than Rs 33.76 crore in the district. This includes seven waterworks schemes, upgrade of 10 schools from the next academic session, laying of the foundation stone of new purchase centres and the foundation stones of development projects in Talwandi Sabo villages.
