Nabha: Symbolic of sacrifice Eid-ul-azha was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at the Royal mosque, Nabha. Thousands of muslim brethren kowtowed to Allah and embraced each other. Maulvi Hafiz Mohammad Tauqir led the salat.
However, there was huge disappointment among the people as none of the political or administrative officials showed up to wish them on the occasion. Punjab Muslim Welfare Council president Ramjan Khan, general secretary Mohammad Hanif, cashier Gulzar Mohammad said they won’t hold any hopes from the administration and political leaders in future and would put in efforts to become self reliant for the welfare of the brotherhood.
Without naming any party, they said a political leader had announced lakhs of rupees for the upkeep of the mosque but they had not even a single penny.
Social workers Jeet Ram Dulladdi and Gurpeet Singh Namdhari from Namdhari sect wished the muslim brotherhood Eid Mubarak.
Women performed their customs in a different mosque in Pandusar.
