A day after Congress' Sohna MLA Dharambir Singh resigned from the post of chief parliamentary secretary at a rally in Bhiwani, Congress MP Shruti Choudhry called him an opportunist, who, she said, enjoyed power for nine long years.

She said this while addressing a press conference in Bhiwani on Monday. Dharambir Singh, who had represented Tosham assembly seat, was asked to contest from Sohna in 2009. He has been sulking as he wanted to contest parliamentary election from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh, the seat being represented by Shruti Choudhry, who also is the party candidate for the April 10 election.

Shruti said that aspiring for a ticket was not bad, but seeking ticket from every party certainly was. She said that Dharambir's rebellion against the party was unjustified as he had enjoyed the benefits of being in power for nine full years.
