Former chief minister and Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prem Kumar Dhumal on Sunday accused the Congress party led state government for Himachal's financial state. “The government has been purely working to mint money,” said Dhumal, while addressing the party workers at Touni Devi here on Sunday.
Dhumal said that the report of Computer General of India (CAG) clarified that the funds were misused in the state, thereby giving ample proof to the allegations of the BJP. He said that if the situation continued, the day was not far when the state government employees would not be able to get their monthly dues.
Dhumal accused the state government of not providing help to people, who had lost their crops to natural calamities.
The state party chief, Satpal Satti, said, “Virbhadra Bhadra Singh has been working as thanedar (in-charge of police station) rather than a chief minister.” He added that BJP would not allow its workers to suffer “atrocities” in hands of “goons” of the Congress party.
Earlier, Dhumal inaugurated a newly-constructed business campus of a BJP leader.
