District Bar Association (DBA) to boycott National Lok Adalat

The District Bar Association (DBA) has decided to boycott the national lok adalat on Saturday at the district judicial complex and even, announced to hold 'no work day' on Friday.

The District Bar Association (DBA) has decided to boycott the national lok adalat on Saturday at the district judicial complex and even, announced to hold 'no work day' on Friday.

The association's president Karam Pal Singh Gill said that Punjab and Haryana high court had already announced holiday on every second Saturday in a month but in a deep conspiracy against lawyers, the lok adalat is being organised on Saturday.

Gill said that if any member of association would take part in the lok Adalat, the association will dismiss the member without giving any prior notice.

Senior vice-president Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal and joint secretary Harsh Bhatt said that if the order of holding the lok adalat on Saturday is not be taken back immediately, district association will also appeal to other district associations to boycott it.

They even appealed to members to ask their clients to not to come to the lok adalat.
