A district-level Inspire Award exhibition started at Malwa Khalsa Senior Secondary School on Monday. Students of class 6 to 8 displayed their models based on the topic - eco friendly techniques, save electricity, utilisation of rain water etc on the first day.
Deputy district education officer, Charanjit Singh and Ashish Kumar inaugurated the exhibition in which 269 students displayed their models and another 242 students of classes 9 and 10 wil display their models from August 28 to 30. A total of 511 students are participating in this exhibition.
Karanjit Singh Grewal, principal of Malwa Khalsa Senior Secondary School welcomed the teachers and students on this occasion. Varinder Kaur, district science supervisor said, “The objective isto idnetify students with an apititude for mathematics and engineering. The award will help in building a pool of human resources for escalating and expanding the science and technology system.”Professor Baldev Singh from Guru Nanak Polytechnic College, Shashi Trehan, former district science supervisor and Varinder Kaur district science supervisor inspected the studnets’ models.
