DMW athlete sets new long jump record

R Prem Kumar, an athlete from Diesel-Loco Modernisation Works (DMW) created a national men's long jump record with a 8.03-m jump at the 79th All-India Railway Athletics Championship held at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, from August 5 to 7. DMW's Aswani Solanki bagged gold with his 17.1-m shot put throw, Manpreet Kaur won top honours with her 14.71-m shot put throw, and Talwinder Singh won gold by besting his personal record with a62.42-m hammer throw.
