A domestic help allegedly mixed some poisonous substance in the dinner of a family he was employed with an intention to rob them in Rishi Nagar on Friday night. However, the owner of the house, before losing his consciousness, informed his in-laws when he found that all members of the family have been falling ill and requested them to take them to hospital.

His in-laws rushed all family members, including domestic help Bheem Bahadur of Nepal, to hospital. After being discharged from the hospital on Saturday, the domestic help fled.

The family then lodged a complaint at the PAU police station in this context. The police have booked Bheem Bahadur and his unidentified accomplices for poisoning the family with an intention to rob.

In his complaint, Vaneet Jain of Rishi Nagar stated that they employed Bheem Bahadur around a month ago.

He suspected that Bheem Bahadur had hatched a conspiracy with his accomplices and he himself consumed the food to show that he was not involved in it.

Sub-inspector Surinder Kumar, in-charge of the PAU police station, said the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
