With the nursery admissions having reached the final stage in the tricity, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, held its draw of lots on Wednesday.
The draw of lots was held at 10.30am on the school premises. While 28 seats were allocated under the sibling quota, another 62 seats were allocated to students from the non-sibling category/general category. There are five on the waiting list in the general category, two in the sibling category.
A total of 23 seats were allocated to the DPS alumni and staff category. However, the 37 seats that fall under the EWS quota will be allocated once the draw of lots for EWS is held on Saturday for the same. Speaking to HT, principal Reema Dewan said, “The event went off well and parents are appreciative of the process. We had a packed auditorium with over 600 parents in attendance.”
