A weeklong campaign for awareness against corruption concluded on Saturday at Government Brijindra College here. The campaign targeted the youth to save them from falling into the trap of accepting and paying bribe, deputy commissioner Ravi Bhagat said in his address on the occasion.
The State Bank of Patiala and the office of senior superintendent of police (vigilance) Sukhdev Singh Chahal were partners in organising the campaign. SSP Gurpreet Singh Toor said it was crime to both accept and pay bribe. Inderjeet Singh Khalsa, chairman of the Baba Farid Society, and vigilance bureau SSP Chahal asked people to report corruption. Anil Verma, principal of the host college, was present.
