Dismissed Punjab deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Jagdish Singh Bhola, the alleged kingpin of an extensive drug network, was on Thursday produced in a court here which remanded him in police custody till December 2.
Bhola, who was the alleged mastermind of the synthetic drugs racket exposed by the Punjab Police, was brought to the court here under tight security arrangements.
A case was registered against Bhola by the district police in March but he had been on the run since then. He was recently arrested by the Punjab Police in another case.
Bhola, who is also facing trial in the multi-crore international drug racket was on Wednesday freed by a Patiala court, as the court refused to extend his judicial remand as demanded by Patiala police but he was handed over to Fatehgarh Sahib police for interrogation in connection with the case registered here.
