Drug peddler disguised as woman arrested in Mansa

Out on bail in a drug-peddling case, an 18-year-old man who disguised himself as a woman was finally arrested in another narcotics case by the police here on Monday.

Situ and his woman accomplice Radha, 30, were arrested with 8 kg of poppy husk from Kot Lallu village. “He belongs to Madhya Pradesh and managed to give us the slip in the past due to his appearance. He has long hair that he would tie at the back and also dressed like a woman,” said police station house officer (SHO) Sarbjeet Singh Cheema.

He was out on bail in a June case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after he was arrested with 10 kg of poppy husk near Dalel Singh Wala village. He was produced in the court on Tuesday and was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
