In the double murder case of Moga DSP Balraj Singh Gill and Monika Kapila, the wife of a city-based industrialist, police took samples of hair of the accused, Pritpal Singh alias Laddu, Umesh Karda alias Sonu and Harvinder Singh alias Binder, on Tuesday for sending them to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Ahmedabad, for testing.

The preserved hair would be matched with the hair found in the hand of the murdered DSP. The police had seized a bunch of hair from Gill's fist, which is supposed to be that of the accused. The police had sent it to FSL, Ahmedabad.

"Police will match the samples of the hair taken from the head of the accused with the hair found in the hand of the deceased DSP," said DCP Ashish Choudhry.
Meanwhile, the police arrested three persons who along with the accused executed burglary and robberies. Those arrested were identified as Jung Singh, Rachhpal Singh and Kulwinder Singh alias Sunny of Malakpur.

The police recovered three computers, two LCDs, a motorcycle, an inverter and several others valuables that they had stolen and robbed from several places.
Later, Jung Singh was produced before the court. The court has sent him to the Ludhiana central jail in judicial custody.

According to inspector Gurabans Singh Bains, incharge of crime investigation agency staff-II, the probe was on and more recoveries were expected.

Rachhpal Singh and Kulwinder Singh have admitted that they were involved in more than 12 incidents of burglary and snatching. They have also burgled the office of a property adviser at Partap Singh Wala village recently.
