The state education department would hold a data verification day on Thursday in order to cross check and verify the data on schools collected by the district education and block officers for the Unified District Information Education System (UDISE) to prepare records for the current academic year.
The UDISE verification day would be held in order to check if the performas are properly filled by the teachers and other block level officers comprising the information related to number of teachers, rooms, students, benches and other details.
The district education officer, elementary, Jaspal Singh said, “This year it has been planned to gather the information and fill up the data in software nationwide to check the status of schools in each block, district, state and country to make better education policies”.
He added that the unified information system requires data including number of schools, enrollment and teachers, infrastructure, academic and administrative.
The district inspection teams and other block officers would monitor the filling up of performas and would check all the columns filled properly or not on Thursday. He added that the schools would be informed to complete the performas again if found anything missing or incomplete so that the online data entry gets started as soon as possible. A number of additional information has also been sought this year from schools including whether the school is co-educational or only for boys or girls, the type of management of schools like aided, non-aided, social welfare department have to be mentioned,” district Sarva Shikhsa Abhiyan official said.
