Eight cars pile up after bus loses control, one killed

The local elevated road witnessed absolute chaos after eight cars and three motorcycles crashed into each other after being hit by a Punjab Roadways bus from the rear side on Sunday evening. The incident led to the death of one person who is yet to be identified.

The local elevated road witnessed absolute chaos after eight cars and three motorcycles crashed into each other after being hit by a Punjab Roadways bus from the rear side on Sunday evening. The incident led to the death of one person who is yet to be identified.

The incident took place just on the decline of the elevated road. Eyewitnesses claimed that the bus came from behind and rammed into the cars moving ahead.

ADCP (City-I) Parampal Singh, who reached the spot, maintained that as per the occupants of cars involved in the pile-up, it was the bus that lost control and hit from behind. A couple of persons were injured in the pile-up and were admitted to a local hospital.
