Haryana chief electoral officer Shrikant Walgad on Friday said that the election department would web-cast the latest polling information of 1,000 polling centres in the state on its website http://ceoharyana.nic.in on April 10, 2014.
Waglad told newspersons that the national informatics centre (NIC) had developed an SMS based e-dashboard software and election result information system for the same.
He said that 100 polling stations had been identified each from all 10 parliamentary constituencies where the facility of web casting would be provided. Thus, total 1,000 sensitive polling stations had been identified in the state where live webcasting would be done and the same would be monitored by the department. Apart from this, CCTVs would also be installed at the polling centres as per the connectivity. He said that 3,000 polling stations had been declared as sensitive and hyper-sensitive.
He said that to ensure smooth conduct of poll, as many as 48,754 police personnel and 60 companies of central para-military forces had been deputed. Out of this, 33,556 personnel of Haryana Police and 45 companies of central para-military forces would be deputed on polling centre whereas, 13,038 police personnel and 15 companies would be deputed in the sensitive areas.
He said that under the joint campaign run by police, excise and taxation department, as many as 79,321 bottles of liquor, 760 gram of opium, 693 kilo poppy husk, 198 kg poppy husk, 540 gram charas, 141 gram smack and 1,080 kg lahan had so far been seized in the state. Apart from this 798.8 gram gold and `1.77 crore unaccounted cash had also been seized.
