Two undertrials Babbu Singh, son of Raja Singh from Sedha Singh Wala village of the district and Balkaran Singh, son of Malkiat Singh, a resident of Manuke of Moga district, who had escaped from the jail here on Saturday by scaling its boundary wall, remain untraced.

"We have been conducting raids at their possible hideouts to nab the accused, but the police have not been able yet to arrest them so far," said Tejinder Singh, the investigating officer in the case. The city police had, on Saturday, registered a case against the two under Section 224 (escape from lawful detention) of the IPC on the complaint of Kulwinder Singh Thiara, superintendent, modern jail.
