Puran Singh, ex-driver of Nurmahal-based Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan's spiritual head Ashutosh Maharaj alias Mahesh Kumar Jha, has again moved the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking post mortem of the spiritual head.

The petition is likely to come up for hearing on Monday. Sansthan doctors who had attended to the spiritual head had declared him clinically dead at 2.15 am on January 29.

The petitioner has submitted in his petition that as per the medical report of the doctors earlier submitted to the high court, the spiritual head is "clinically dead" but still the state authorities are not taking any further action in the matter.

He has further submitted that it is a well known fact that the spiritual head's body has been kept illegally in a refrigerator by the Sansthan members and they are not allowing anyone to enter the place.

The petitioner has further added that the interest of justice requires that the authorities may be directed to get the post mortem of the body conducted so that the real cause of death may come to light and if the result of the post mortem throws light upon commission of any offence, the same may be got investigated.

He had earlier alleged that Sansthan residents namely Arvinda Nand, Soni, Narinder Singh and Vishalanand were responsible for the illegal detention of the spiritual head in order to usurp the dera property.
