A local court on Wednesday acquitted Harminder Singh Mintoo in relation to an Explosive Act case registered against him in 2010 at Nabha.

Police theory, in which it claimed that Mintoo has funded explosive that were found from two persons at Nabha, fell flat in the court of additional sessions judge RS Hundal. It is Mintoo’s second acquittal — he was earlier acquitted in the Nabha bottling plant explosion case. More cases, including the Nabha jail break and other terror activity-related cases, are still going on against Mintoo.

Mintoo recently hit headlines after he fled from jail in the infamous Nabha jail break case.
