Fashion Week enters Day 2

The fifth Punjab International Fashion Week (PIFW) entered its second day on Saturday at Radisson BLU MBD Hotel.The evening saw Kolkata-based designer Jaya Misra, cradle of budding designers from International Institute of Fashion Designing (INIFD) and a celebrity designer Riyaz Gangji from Mumbai showcasing their collections on the ramp.

Gangji revealed that he was so impressed with fashion in the city that he was all set to open his first store in city's upcoming shopping mall.

"The reason, I chose Ludhiana is because the people here have highest fashion sense. This store will be my first store in Punjab. My specialty is not just wedding dresses and much more that can wow your personality on every kind of occasion," he added.

The audience also appreciated the work of INIFD students who made it clear that creativity knows no bounds. Many students also played a vital role to run various activities back stage.

Centre director of INIFD Arvind Gupta said "Our students are highly elated to be a part of this fashion event as it has given them exposure. They have personally met many famous fashion designers, models and many other professionals," expressed Gupta.
