Fatehgarh Sahib police claim to have busted gang of criminals

The Fatehgarh Sahib police claim to have busted a gang of vehicle robbers with the arrest of four members. The gang snatched vehicles at gunpoint, used to dismantle them and sell the parts.

Fatehgarh Sahib SSP HS Mann said that members of the CIA staff, Mandi Gobindgarh, received a tip-off and arrested Randhir Singh , resident of Dera Singh Cheeka, Haryana, Harbhajan Singh alias Bhajan, resident of Jind, Rosha, resident of Kaithal, Mohinder Ram, resident of Khanna (Punjab).

One of their accomplices Sant Singh, a resident of Model Town, Khanna, managed to escape.

The SSP said that three stolen vehicles including two Tata 407 mini-trucks and a Qualis van had been recovered from the accused. He said the police had also recovered a country-made pistol along with 3 live cartridges, one knife and few iron rods from their possession. Further investigations are on.
