Father arrested for molesting minor daughter, allegedly raped elder daughter too

In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old resident of local Ekta Nagar was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly molesting and sexual harassing his minor daughter for years.

The incident came to light when the minor girl was produced before the court of Gurkirpal Singh Sekhon, civil judge (junior division) late Tuesday night where she gave a statement that her father used to molest her and committed acts which outraged her modesty.

The girl made another shocking revelation that her father had also raped her elder sister seven years ago and was in jail for many months for the act.
After recording the statement of the minor girl, the Surya Enclave police have registered a case against her father under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012.

The father was immediately arrested by the police after registration of the case and sent to judicial custody after being produced in the local court on Wednesday.

According to information available, a case under Sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366a (procuration of minor girl) was registered on June 10 this year against Rajinder Kumar (18) who had allegedly kidnapped the minor on the pretext of marrying her and made sexual relations with her for two months.

Late Tuesday night, a police party led by assistant sub-inspector Satnam Singh nabbed Rajinder Kumar and rescued the minor girl from a rented accommodation in Ludhiana.

When the girls' statement was recorded before the judge, she said Kumar had made sexual relations with her after which Section 376 (rape) was also been added against the accused who was sent to judicial custody.
The minor further said she did not want to go back home as her father, who a halwai, had been sexually exploiting her for years.

As the girl refused to go home, she was shifted to the state protective home in Basti Guzan Jalandhar by officials of the Surya Enclave police station.
When contacted, assistant sub inspector Satnam Singh said that both the father and Rajinder Kumar had been sent to Kapurthala jail.
