On the first death anniversary of Geetanjali, her father Om Prakash Aggarwal held a press conference and renewed his call for action against her husband and his family for “murder”.
“She was murdered. It was not a suicide. Nobody could hit herself with three bullets for a suicide. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also under pressure…They are not doing anything,” Aggarwal said.
Geetanjali was allegedly murdered on July 17, 2013, in Gurgaon and her husband Ravneet Garg, former chief judicial magistrate, is under suspicion in the CBI probe. She was survived by two daughters, Aasma, 4, and Adiva, 3.
“Ravneet Garg had shown himself present at a video conference. But how come his weapon, registered in his name, was found at the crime spot…It was a planned murder,” Aggarwal said.
On CBI announcing reward for those giving information in the case, Aggarwal said they had not found anything against chief judicial magistrate Ravneet Garg.
“Our daughter cannot come back. We are not getting justice also. We hope that media would raise the issue,” Aggarwal said.
