Fire breaks out at two different units

Fire broke out at two different units near Basti Jodhewal and Cheema Chowk on Friday causing damage worth lakhs. The preliminary investigations revealed that the reason behind both the fire incidents was short circuit.

In afternoon, as the fire broke out at a cardboard factory in New Shakti Nagar near Basti Jodhewal, people informed the fire brigade wing and also started making efforts to control fire. The fire was finally doused by the team of fire wing with the help of six fire tenders in around two hours.

Another fire broke out at a spinning mill near Cheema Chowk. Rajkumar, an employee of fire wing, informed that six vehicles were sent to douse the fire. He informed that no casualty was reported, adding that cotton yarn and other articles got destroyed in the fire.
