First dog show in Bathinda on Sunday

A dog show will be held at the sports stadium of GND thermal plant here on Sunday for the first time. Dogs of all breeds from the country and abroad can be brought for participation in the show. The show is being organised by the Bathinda Kennel Club.

Birinder Singh, general secretary of the club, said that Gurpreet Singh Maluka, chairman, of the District Council, will inaugurate the show and will be chief guest on the occasion.

AIS Bhinder, chairman of the Amritsar Kennel Club, and Rajesh Katyal, member of the Great Dane Club of the USA and life member of the Kennel Club of India (KCI) from Noida, will be judges at the show. As many as 250 dogs of a minimum of 30 different breeds are expected to be brought for the show, which will start at 9.00 am.
