A day after International Yoga Day was observed at various places in city, the Ludhiana police held a yoga and meditation camp for the cops in which 300 police officers encompassing various ranks participated. The officials were also given a lecture about the benefits of adopting yoga in their daily routine.
Police have collaborated with the Art of Living foundation to impart training to various officers. “Since the police officers have to face a lot of stress, tension and anxiety in their job, we are in the process of tying up with agencies who will impart daily and compulsory yoga training and teach them about benefits of various yoga techniques,” said Jatinder Singh Aulukh, commissioner of police.
“The daily yoga training will be held in various batches keeping in mind the duty hours of cops,” he added.
