They have been identified as Nirmal Singh and Karamjit Singh of Smao village, Saudagar Singh of Budhlada, Sonu of Fatehabad in Haryana and Pargat Singh of Ratia in Haryana. They were arrested from Dhalewan village in Mansa.
Police recovered a .32 bore pistol with two cartridges from Sonu, a 9 mm pistol and six cartridges from Sandeep Singh, and sharp-edged swords from Nirmal Singh and Saudagar Singh.
Police claimed that on June 14 the accused had snatched a gold chain along with Rs 20,000 from Raj Kumari, wife of Dr Chhajju Ram of Budhlada.
SSP Narinder Bhargav said, "We have booked the accused under sections 399 and 402 of the IPC and under the Arms Act at Bhikhi police station. The accused have confessed to robbing the complainant in Budhlada."
