The body of a five-year-old boy was fished out from a septic tank on Saturday. The boy named Pankaj was missing for the last two days.

The tank was at an under-construction factory at the Ishwar Colony of the Focal Point area.

Ram Naresh, the father of the deceased, had filed a missing report in the police station, Focal Point on October 10.

The family lived in the servant quarters of the factory and Naresh and his wife used to work as construction labourers.

Naresh said on Saturday some factory workers found a body floating in the septic tank. They raised alarm and fished out the body from the tank.

Inspector Davinder Choudhary, SHO, police station Focal Point, said the family hailed from Lakhanpur village of Madhya Pradesh.
