Flesh trade racket running in guise of dhaba busted, 10 arrested

The police have busted a flesh trade racket with the arrest of 10 persons, including kingpin of the racket and her son. The racket was being run in the guise of a dhaba in the Basti Jodhewal area.

A case under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the immoral trafficking act in this context has been registered against the accused at Basti Jodhewal police station.

The accused have been identified as Geeta Devi of Anandpuri Colony, Priya of Jamalpur, Khushi of New Preet Nagar, Poonam Devi of Dhandhari Khurd, Kiran of Salem tabri, Chhotan, Vicky of Anandpuri Colony, Sunny Chauhan of Basant Vihar Colony, Manjit Singh of Bank Colony and Narind Bahadur of Anandpuri Colony.

Inspector Balwinder Singh, SHO at police station division number 7, said the police have a brothel being run in a house in Anandpuri Colony. The police have raided the house and arrested all the accused in objectionable condition.

The SHO said the accused have opened a small time dhaba outside the house. In the guise of the dhaba, she used to run flesh trade racket.

She is contact with different women of area that are indulged in flesh trade and use to call them as per demand of the customers.
