The Ludhiana Kennel club organised a dog show and flower show at Ireo Water Front lawns located at Datewal village near here on Sunday.
The event turned out to be a grand affair which made Sunday special for both flower and dog lovers. The event aimed at creating awareness among people on different varieties of dogs and flowers.
For participating in the show, competitors arrived at the venue early in the morning. Some expensive varieties of dogs, including Rottweiler, Spitz, Pug, Cocker Spaniel and many more, were spotted.
Ludhiana Kennel Club president PS Gill said, “Those who keep pets at home must come to such events, as one attains lot of knowledge by meeting veterinary experts and dog lovers.”
“I feel culture of pampering dogs is also rising like the west and this is more common in the elite class and middle class is also following the same trend,” Gill said.
Even in the flower contest, there were more than 50 varieties, including Antirrhinum, Brachycome, Calendula and Schefflera.
