The panchyati raj department has been entrusted with the construction of 45 unified services delivery centres in two tehsils, Moga and Baghapurana, which are part of 82 similar centres coming up in the district.
Giving this information, Moga deputy commissioner Parminder Singh Gill said that the construction of these sewa kendras has already started. He said that a cluster of three to four villages is being given a unified services delivery centre (mini suwidha centre)."
In the district the executing agencies for construction of buildings are Panchayati Raj department and PWD. The centre, 6 in urban and 39 in rural pockets, will cost Rs 877.48 lakh," said Gill.
He said that out of the six kendras in urban areas one would be of type-1 and 5 type-2, while the rest 39 would be of the type-3 category.
He said that the main aim of setting up these sewa kendras was to ensure that all services were provided under the same at the doorsteps of the people.
