Four charred to death in Shimla

Four persons, including two children, were charred to death in a house fire near Bharari in outskirts of Shimla.

Fire broke out at early morning and firefighters, police personels rushed to the spot after villagers’ informed the local police station.

Fireman told incident occurred when the victims were sleeping on the first floor of a double storeyed building housing six rooms. Officials said fire was broke out due to lightening.

Police official said four deceweased have been ientified as Mahesh, 28, his wife Hemlata, 24 and two children Dikshit, 4, and Jyoti 2. Besides them grand parents were also sleeping on the ground floor but managed to excape in time.

Shimla additional superintendent of police (ASP) BD Negi said four deadbodies have been sent to Indira Gandhi medical college (IGMC) for postmortum.
