Four men riding SUV try to abduct woman in Daba area

Four occupants of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) allegedly tried to abduct a 20-year-old girl in Daba area on Wednesday.

The girl was riding motorcycle with her father.

In his complaint , Sanjiv Kumar of Kot Mangal Singh, said he was returning home on his motorcycle after picking up his daughter from a computer centre.

Meanwhile, an SUV approached them and its occupants tried to pull his daughter into the vehicle.

When he raised an alarm, the miscreants drove away.

Kumar alleged that his daughter was being stalked for the past few days.

Inspector Sukhbir Singh, station house officer, Daba police station, said they had the registration number of the SUV.

Therefore, they were trying to identify the accused and would arrest them soon.
A case of attempt to kidnap has been registered against the four unidentified accused.
