Four-year-old sodomised; accused arrested
Police have arrested a 25-year-old resident, Jiwan Singh, of New Grain Market area, here, for sodomising a four-year-old boy of the same area, on Sunday night. The boy's face had also been disfigured.
Police have arrested a 25-year-old resident, Jiwan Singh, of New Grain Market area, here, for sodomising a four-year-old boy of the same area, on Sunday night. The boy's face had also been disfigured.
The victim was reportedly kidnapped from outside his house and was found unconscious in an unused godown in the Old Grain Market the city, after police had launched a search on a complaint from the family.
Police claim that the accused worked as a labourer and the victim's father was also a fruit vendor.
Mansa SSP Bhupinder Singh Khattra said: "A case under Sections 365 (kidnapping and abduction with intent to confine a person), 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3,4 of Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act, 2012, has been registered against the accused at Mansa police station. A medical report is waited."
Dr Veerdevinder Singh, who treated the victim said, "It seems that an offence has taken place, as there were injuries on private parts of the body of the child. He was brought yesterday night to us. We referred him to a higher institute, but later again he was brought back. He is in a stable condition, but there is swelling on the face."
