Frustrated over not getting job, 28-yr-old dentist hangs self

Frustrated over not getting job even after completing masters degree in dental surgery, 28-year-old dentist ended her life by hanging self with sash at her house in Dugri on Thursday late.

The deceased has been identified as Sirjana Kaur and she was alone, as her family members were out to pay obeisance at a shrine near their house.

When the family members reached home, they were shocked to see her hanging. Following this, they informed the Dugri police that initiated investigation after reaching the spot.

Deceased's father Kawalpreet Singh, who retired as manager from Phagwara Sugar mills, said, “After completing her master degree in dental surgery Sirjana had started looking out for a suitable job, but failed to get one. She was very frustrated due to it. Our son had gone to Dehradun to appear for an interview, and we had gone to pay obeisance at a nearby shrine, and Sirjana was alone.”

Atam Park assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Ramandeep Singh said the police have been investigating the matter.
