‘Future of 120 students of private nursing institute at stake’

Nursing institute, run by Himalayan Institute of Health Sciences in Ner Chowk area of the Balh segment, chairperson and chief executive officer Bhuvneshawari Kapoor lashed out at district administration and police and alleged that the administration was working under the influence of powerful politician.

Addressing mediapersons here on Sunday, Bhuvneshawari said the Himachal high court, while accepting her plea, ordered health department’s principal secretary to reinstate the post of old governing body headed by her and asked to remove the person who claimed to be the head of the governing body, ordering Mandi deputy commissioner to initiate an action.

“More than a year has passed but the district administration, which is working under the influence of a local powerful politician, has done nothing. Meanwhile, the authorities concerned have also canceled recognition of the institute that was supposed to be renewed in the April for the academic session of 2014-15,” she claimed.

She added now future of 120 girls’ students of the institute was at stake and the administration and police was not ready to initiate an action to save the future of the girls, who have spent lot of time and money.
