Union Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari and Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal will inaugurate the 88th All India Marathi Sahitya Sammellan in Ghumaan Village in the state's Gurdaspur District on Friday evening.
The three-day long event will be inaugurated at 4 pm this evening. Both leaders will also lay the foundation stone of the Bhagat Namdev Degree College.
About 6000 Marathi-speaking people will be attending the event in Ghumaan, the land where Bhagat Namdev spent 18 years of his life giving valuable teahings to society.
Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Education Minister Vinod Tawade and other dignitaries will attend the event on Sunday.
