GADVASU registrar PD Juyal retires

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) registrar PD Judyal, 60, retired on Friday.

After varsity vice chancellor VK Taneja retired on December 20, university announced AS Nanda, 61, as its new vice-chancellor. He is expected to join soon. But the post of registrar is vacant as per university public relations officer Harpreet Singh. He said, “After the new V-C joins, we will advertise for the vacant post, which will be followed by selection procedure. Candidates will be selected by the university board of management.

Sharing his bond and experience here, Juyal said he attained a great experience and faced many challenges, but will remember all his days spent here.

Singh shared that Juyal served in various capacities in different universities, including Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and GADVASU for a period of 34 years. He joined as associate professor of veterinary parasitology in PAU in 1989 and served the department as a professor as well as head of the department till his elevation to the post of GADVASU registrar on May 20, 2010.

SPS Sangha, director students' welfare and estate officer, lauded the contributions made by Juyal and appreciated his administrative skills.
