A notorious gangster facing several cases of murder and attempt to murder was gunned down on Rewari court complex by two miscreants when he was being taken for a hearing on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Jeeta Gurjar, was lodged in Bondsi jail and had several murder and attempt to murder cases pending against him.

The attackers were overpowered by the police from near the spot and have been identified as Naresh Kumar and Hawa Singh, residents of Gurgaon and Rewari district, respectively.

As per details, Jeeta was pumped with bullets by the accused, who were hiding in the Rewari court complex, when cops were taking him to a court.

A cop, Bhim Singh, also sustained injuries in the thigh.

Rewari SP Pankaj Nain said that Jeeta Gurjar was wanted in several criminal cases and the accused in this case had enmity with him. The
