Gangster Vicky Gounder’s four aides arrested in a joint operation by the special task force and counter-intelligence wing on Friday were produced in the Jalandhar courts on Saturday.

The accused — Damanpreet Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Ranveer Singh and Prince Deep Singh, all residents of Gurdaspur — were sent to four-day police custody. Cops told the court they wanted to quiz them about the motive of their stay in the city and their role in the Gurdaspur triple murder orchestrated by Gounder and his aides earlier this week.

The four have been booked under Sections 399 (making preparation to commit dacoity) and 402 (assembling for purpose of committing dacoity) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides the Arms Act.
