Students of Class 6 to 8 of various government schools from across Punjab will be visiting Pushpa Gujral Science City in Kapurthala.
The education department has decided to organise a visit of Pushpa Gujral Science City in Kapurthala for the students of government schools from class 6 to 8 across the state.
Pradeep Kumar, director general of school education, said with an aim to inculcate interest for scientific innovations in the students of Class 6 to 8, the education department had decided to organise a visit of the students to the science city from February 5 to 13.
“The tour has been planned to motivate young minds with innovative ideas. The state government has provided the requisite funds to the science city,” he added.
“Out of the total 11,200 students across the state, 1,800 from Doaba region will visit the science city as per the scheduled plan, while 500 from Hoshiarpur will visit on February 10, whereas 800 students from Jalandhar and 500 from Kapurthala on February 11,” he said, adding that components included in the grant would be entry ticket to the science city, lunch, refreshment and transportation charges.
