Govt college first in state to be recognied worldwide

In a major achievement, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur, has become the maiden institution of the state to get accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) after India became a signatory to the Washington Accord.

The college is now stepping towards getting its B.Tech degree internationally recognised across countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, UK which are members of the accord.

India is now a permanent member of the Washington Accord according to which, any course accredited by NBA under TIER-I will be equivalent to a degree obtained from institutions of all the signatories to the accord. Dr TS Sidhu, campus director of SBS, acknowledged the achievement and added that five B.Tech courses of the institute had been accredited by NBA.
