Haryana government has introduced the system of dealer-point registration of non-transport vehicles. Under this new system, new non-transport vehicles would not be required to be present before the registering authority (RA) or any other authority for verification or passing before their registration.
The transport commissioner, Sumita Misra, said on Tuesday that the new non-transport vehicles, sold by any dealer of motor vehicles in Haryana to any resident of Haryana, which were type approved and fully body built and manufactured in the India would not be required to be present before the RA or any other authority for verification or passing before their registration.
Such vehicles would be registered on production of a certificate of inspection issued by the dealers of motor vehicles in prescribed form, she said.
Misra said that all the sub-divisional officers (civil)-cum-RAs (MV) had been directed to contact and direct all automobile dealers of non-transport vehicles upto 6+1 capacity in their jurisdiction to submit their application, along with all enclosures to the office of transport commissioner, for the issue of user link and password to the website of the department. This system had been successfully launched from Panchkula from February 28, 2014, she added.
