Gurjot Singh joins as DEO, secondary

Deputy district education officer, secondary, Gurjot Singh, joined as district education officer, secondary on Tuesday.

In recent orders passed by Punjab education secretary Anjali Bawra, Gurjot was given the charge of DEO, secondary, Ludhiana.

After former DEO, secondary, Paramjit Kaur was transferred on April 14 as principal, District Institute of Education and Training at Nabha, the officiating charge of the post was given to Charanjit Singh.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Gurjot said, "My priorities will be transparency in work at the DEO office, and clearing all pending files. I will also focus on redressing grievances of the teaching community."
