Member of Parliament and SAD candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal led a roadshow in the city seeking the people's support on the last of the campaigning for Lok Sabha elections on Monday.
Starting from Dhobi Bazaar in the morning, Harsimrat, along with CPS and local MLA Sarup Chand Singla, former mayor, municipal corporation of Bathinda, Baljeet Singh Beerbehman and other SAD and BJP leaders, covered areas of Sadbhavna chowk, Hospital Bazaar, Railway Road, Post Office Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar, Bank Bazaar, Arya Samaj chowk, Kikkar Bazaar during the show before culminating at Sirki Bazaar.
During the roadshow, she dwelt on the development works in Bathinda and sought votes for the continuity of these works. With a purpose to strike a chord with urban voters, she said that she would try to get the property tax revoked once the NDA government was formed at the Centre.
She alleged that Congress candidate Manpreet Singh Badal has refused to state his vision for the constituency and said that he has also refused to make clear his stand on various issues.
