Blaming the center government for increasing the price of petrol and diesel for as many as 33 times in a year the Member Parliament Harsimrat Kaur Badal ridiculed the UPA II at the center for being responsible in increasing burden on common man.

Harsimrat claimed that congress had eye washed the demands of Punjab farmers' who are feeding the whole nation. "The ground water especially in Malwa region had been lowered and the expenses of farmers are rising by the day while the brick-lining of water channels is need of the hour but the center government had eye-washed these demands of farmers. The center had increased 33 times the price of diesel and petrol only in one year that had burdened the common man and mostly the farmers in Punjab."

"Natives of Telangana state were demanding a separate state from long time and many people had sacrificed their lives for this but congress had made it as a separate state only to get votes in the coming lok sabha elections. Everyday the scams are being digged out of congress leaders whereas there is extreme rise in corruption, poverty and unemployment in the country." added Harsimrat.

MP Badal was here to hold sangat darshan in Mansa and had addressed the grievances of public while she also instructed the officials to speed up the on going developmental works and keep a vigil over the quality of work being done.
