Union minister for food processing and member of Parliament from here Harsimrat Kaur Badal thanked railway minister Suresh Prabhu for announcing the construction of a railway over bridge (ROB) on a railway crossing on the Bathinda-Mansa road.
“The ROB at Bhai Bhakhtaur village will bring the much- needed respite for commuters, besides adding yet another feather of infrastructure in the state,” Harsimrat said in a press statement
She also appreciated the Union minister’s announcement of constructing 13 subways in her constituency during the recent railway budget.
She said that these subways would be constructed on four unmanned and nine manned railway crossings.
Harsimrat stated that the two railway crossings, located on the Shergarh-Bathinda road, will get a subway, while the unmanned railway crossing on the Katar Singh Wala- Bathinda cantonment road, two on Maur-Maiserkhana road and Kotfatta Katar Singh Wala road too will have a subway and two subways would also come up on the Sirsa bypass.
She added that apart from Bathinda, Mansa district too has got subways on major railway crossings. All the five railway crossings near Ahmedpur village on the Budhlada-Narinderpura road in Mansa district will have subways.
“The NDA government has continued its spree of showering Punjab with the best of projects in quality and quantity by giving the highest railway budget outlay for Punjab during the past 10 years,” she said.
